These are the three photos I took this weekend. They all where taken on Sunday. I was having a hard time with the sun because it was not a sunny day. But when I got that stream of light between the trees every once in a while I would set up and take the picture as you can see in the first photo. I liked this photo because the light created a ring of green. I am not sure why but I kind of liked it cause the green ring contrasted with the green of the trees. The second photo is my silhouette photo of Oceana. I like how this turned out. She is very in focus and the trees are very blurred out. Her face has light and dark aspects which I think look really good since the back is all light. The third photo is a self portrait. I didn't really want a camera in my face, since I like staying behind it, so I worked around it. I placed a rock under my lens, pointing it up towards me. This created a full body portrait and not a ton of focus on my face. I think that all the photos contradict them selfs. They all have a big dark portion to them and look similar. If I had to do it again, I would possibly not do it in a forest, and Maybe in somewhere more open, with more light.

The other day me and my mom went on a little photo adventure. We drove up my favourite mountain, Cypress mountain. When me and my brother where little, my dad would take us up to play in the snow and run around with the dogs. Suprilzingly there was quite a bit of snow as you may be able to see in the first photo. This is of my mom and the massive trees that surrounding her. I feel the image makes her look small and the trees look ginormous around her. The second photo I took on the road. I waited for a car to come and when I did I made sure I got the sunlight on the trees and the shadow as well. I think it creates two sides to the image. Then when a car came I took a quick snap shot. I think the massive shadows on the trees make the car look tiny on the long windy road. The third photo is of people at the look out. They are most likely tourist enjoying are amazing city. So I waited in the car for them to be visible the way I wanted. One guy gave us a strange look as we drove by but as long as I got the shot I wanted. I like all theses photos because they all have a theme of the out doors and to me and anyone else familiar with Cypress and theme could be the mountain.
I picked theses photos cause they are my most recent photos besides my film ones. With unforchanit miss communications my film camera was not going to be developed in time. So I took photos from my last downtown adventure. Me and two of my friends actually went to shoot for a fashion blog that is underway and coming soon, but while doing that favour for a friend I took a few of my own snaps that I could use. As you may be able to see I like portraits. I think it tells must more of a story and there is more to look at. Although I do love any kind of photography.
